Okay - It's Either Me, or This Chair!

And I mean it. This chair is the wrong height, it hurts my fanny, and it isn't even an office chair fer cryin' out loud! First my wrists hurt. Then it was my hip. Now it's my shoulder. Enough already! It's time to make a change for the better.

That's about it for this entry. I suppose I could mention that we had broiled flounder, sesame-ginger seasoned whole green beans, brown rice with mushrooms and onions, and iced mint tea for dinner tonight. Tasty.

Hey, maybe I'll get to go see a movie on my birthday (October 15)! There are at least four that I am interested in: The Forgotten, Cellular, The Bourne Supremacy, and Team America.

I wonder if the goat that lives at the Pakistani house down the street will be joining them for Ramadan-din-din later in the week? "I see a baa-aaaad moon a risin'..."

I think I'll end on that note.

Eww, I hope there won't be any bathing in blood going on! Run goat, be free!

Lamp, if it ain't leather then it is "pleather", okay? ;-) My husband's company makes something called the Motion chair. In leather, it runs about $2000. They're ergonomically designed and constructed but to tell the truth, I always feel like I'm popping a wheelie when I sit in one. I think I'll cruise by an office supply place and scope out their stuff. Anything is better than what I've got currently.

Something weird is going on in the email world. I tried 5x to reply to an email from my sister in China and every one of them bounced back. My reply finally went through after several hours and I'm on cable!! I wondered if they were blocking incoming mail for some reason, which doesn't really sound that far fetched for China.

Now THAT is my kind of meal. Really. That is the kind of stuff that I eat. But, I insist on sitting in a comfortable chair when doing so. I recommend you do the same.

My pick for movies that I must see: Hero and Friday Night Lights.

Happy almost-birthday my friend. Another week and you’d a been a Scorpio, which is my home sign. But I like Libras too.

By the way, how are you managing to format your text here in the reply section. Are you inserting Vb code? Or, is it 'cause you are the blog goddess around here and get to do anything you want?

Oooooooooops! After I posted my last comment there, I noticed that you aren't formatting in the reply section after all. I must've had an afterimage in my retinas from your post which, of course, you, being the blog goddess can format. Darn. See, that's what happens when I try to insert code here.

Hmmmmmm........in the preview, my code shows, but this post of mine will look even goofier if the when I hit "submit", the "darn" is in bold and the code doesn't show. I'm glad this isn't one of those forums where folks are liable to get bent out of shape by flighty posting or I'd probably get shown the door.

I made another post in which I said that I was mistaken and that indeed you weren't formatting in the reply section, but when I submitted it, it never showed up. I just came back after ten minutes to look but it's still not here.

Hmmmmmmm........maybe it'll show up after I go to bed. Which I really need to do now.

Hey M!

First, I'd be completely unable to do any kind of formatting if I didn't have the shortcut buttons on the page where I do the post creations. So, I don't know how to help you with your formatting and I apologize for that. It would be nice to be a Blog Goddess, filled with all manner of coding and formatting powers of Blog-ability, but alas, I'll just have to be the "Cliff's Notes" version. Does that make me a Demi-Bloggess?

I had forgotten about "Hero"! Yes, that's a movie I want to see also. Looks like I'm going to have to roll the dice so that I can make the choice on which movie to see.

Dinner did turn out rather well and luckily I made sure there was enough for my lunch today.

Lamp,
There is no way I could afford $2000 to sit on in front of my computer. But I'm thinking that a wooden box might be more comfortable than what I have at the moment. Staples here I come.

When I read about the spilled nail polish, I must have blacked out for a second. That stuff is as rank as anything I've ever smelled and it just doesn't fade away fast enough. I've been known to confiscate the stuff and hurl it out the window if it was being used in one of the vehicles. Hope there was no collateral damage (floor, furniture, etc.).

Hi Peachcobbler,

For some idiotic reason I spent 7 months on this computer fighting for Israel on various forums. I spent about 12 hours a day online arguing and doing school work for my MBA and finally my shoulder went too. I went to the chiropractor today, finally, and he said I really messed up my shoulder, clavical, and some vertabrae in the center of my back. GREAT!! So, my typing is limited now and I feel like I have a piece of duct tape over my mouth because I can't talk online very much...no more arguing for me this month:).

I'm near Atlanta BTW are you close?

Have you considered using an obus form? Helps me a lot.
In the first year I started using a pc, I developed eye strain..(thought I was going blind),then back and neck pain..(thought I had cancer), then wrist pain ( thought I had carpal tunnel ( then headaches..( thought I had a brain tumour)...
and all that time all I really had was a chronic case of hypochondria.
Frizzer.
BTW I used a puter at work for 15 years before I got my pc and never had a problem...I worked standing up (pharmacy counter)...maybe that is the solution :-)

I think all I need right now to make my seating experience all that it can be is a neato little footstool. Go ahead, laugh. My ultra comfy new chair is working out nicely and I've got lots of back support but because I'm...er...vertically challenged in relation to the height of my desk, I have to have my chair adjusted so that my feet aren't flat on the floor. Therefore, I believe a little thingy to prop my feet on is in order.

Hey, somebody get me a democrat. . .
